its been a while...

it really has been forever since i have posted anything! so here is a quick (boring) update.
there really hasnt been a whole lot going on for us lately. chris lost his job back in september, so i went to work until he was able to find another one. i would have kept working also, but i had to quit since there is virtually NO babysitting up there in duchesne. so now chris is working for a company out in slc, while i stay at home with noah and the puppies and take care of the house. i dont mind a whole lot being home with just me and noah. i have some good friends who live close by that keep me company and noah is always keeping me busy. lol. right now i am down in sl and getting to spend some time with my wonderful hubby. we were only apart for a week, but it sure seemed like forever!!! i am going to be down here for a few more days since thanksgiving day is right around the corner. i love the holidays! the food and the family is great! lol. i know, i am a major dork. but what can get better than that?!
anyways, thats really it for my little boring update. not really much to tell. lol.

Rolling with the punches

right now i am kind of going through a difficult time in my life. i am back on the job circuit and trying to find something!! it is so friggin hard out here in the middle of nowhere! lol. yesterday i looked all over the basin pretty much and couldnt find really much of anything. which sucked. made me feel a little depressed. but today is looking a little bit better. i have found a job as a correctional officer that is sounding fairly promising. all i have to do is take a little test and turn it in with my application and go from there. i think that would be a fantastic job! and i am really looking forward to it if i get it.
also in the midst of all of this, i am trying to find a place to rent. and believe me, that is not easy out here. but i have a couple places in mind. i am meeting with a lady on monday and she said that she almost always has somewhere to rent out, and she is going to take me around to a few and let me check them out. she said that she has a cute little 2 bedroom house to rent, which im really excited about. i would rather have a little house than a trailer or something like that, but right now beggers cant be choosers. lol.
i will keep you all posted on what is going on when i know what the hell is going on.

Wedding weekend madness is over!!

This past weekend was tons of fun! And tons of crazy too! hahaha!! My sister finally got married on saturday. She was so beautiful! The wedding was really nice too. We got to see lots of people that we havent seen in a while. Then after the reception, Noah snuck a few buns that were left over and we went down to the bridge to go feed all of the ducks. I think that was his favorite part :) He loved standing on the the edge of the bridge and throwing it to them. He would laugh histarically when all of the ducks would go racing for it trying to get to it first. Very cute!
A lot of the family came down from Canada and California to attend the wedding as well. That was a ton of fun! The family that came down, I havent seen in forever! Its been at least 5 or 6 years. Some where around there. Noah really had a good time with Matt, Dan, and Jessica. But most of all I think that he really took to Matt and Dan. They all had such a fun time screwing around together and just being boys.
Now I am getting ready to head back out to the boonies to my peaceful little house. lol.

My sisters getting married!

yep, my big sis is finally tying the knot on saturday! im so excited and cant wait!! I am trying to get my house all in order so that it wont be a mess when i get back. lol! what a chore! i hate cleaning... GRRRR!!! but i am super excited to get to see a bunch of family that i havent seen a long time and spend some time with them.
I will let post more when all the craziness has all settled down. lol

life...

life is going good lately. I know its been a long time since i last posted anything, but i havent really had a whole lot to blog about. Just been hanging at home with the kid mostly.
This last month has been a little crazy. Jaxon had his first birthday party and got spoiled rotten. Noah was kinda jealous cuz Jaxon had all these fun toys, but noah got to play with them, so he was a happy camper again. And the weekend before that was the 4th of july, which i usually go down to the parents house to go see the parade and watch fireworks. I love to see the happy smile on his adorable face when he sees all the fireworks. He gets so excited and yells and claps and carries on. I cant explain how much i love that little munchkin. Then on the 18th, jackie had her bridal shower which i went down to salt lake again. lol. the first 3 weekends of this month i was traveling to the city. VERY busy. Then this weekend is my big sisters wedding! I cant wait! I am so excited and happy for her.

long weekend...

.. so i have been down in grantsville hanging out for the past few days and chris came down for the weekend to hang out. we got pam to watch noah on staurday and went for a ride on the motorcycle. it was so much fun! we just rode from tooele in to salt lake and back, but i had such a good time! the only thing thats kinda hard to get used to is the wind blowing so hard in your ears! but it is still fun. while we were in salt lake he was so wonderful and took me to get my nails done :) i have such a wonderful hubby! then the next day (sunday) we went for another ride around salt lake while chris's mom watched him. it really is a ton of fun riding on the back of that bike. afterwards he took me jamba juice. that place is so darn yuumy! but i really enjoyed the time alone with him.. its been a long time since we were able to just get away like that.
but now i am really tired. i was planning on taking a nice little cat nap this afternoon, but pam called me and needed some errands done. which was alright, if i didnt do those for her then i probably never would've gotten dresses to day! LOL! so now i am officially really sleepy... and noah has been asleep for a couple of hours and i am thinking that it is probably a really good idea that i should go to bed and get some rest too. :)
i really dont have anything else to blog about right now, other than everything and everyone are doing/going well! :)

more ink

i think that i have become a tattoo junkie now. lol! i just went and got a new tattoo on tuesday. i love it! it sure was painful though! OMG! it was almost all i could do to just sit in the chair to finish it all. this one is right in the middle of my left forearm on the underside of it. its a big heart with a cute little swirly design around the bottom part of it.
i was surprised how much it HURT!! my first tattoo i would compare the "pain" to being snapped on the wrist with a rubber band. the new one actually briused all around it. ouchy! but most of the scab has fallen off and its looking pretty good now :)

I made it!

sunday afternoon i began my teck making my way to california. the first leg of the trip was only down to st. george, where noah and i got a hotel and stayed the night. by the time that we got there i was so ready to get out of the car, and so was noah. but i have to admit that he was a fantastic little traveler. as soon as we checked into our room and got all of our bags into the room, we immediately set off to find some food for our hungry bellies. i was thinking something nice, like applebees or chilis, but i saw a del taco that had a play place in it, and knew that was where we had to go... noah had tons of energy backed up that needed to be burned off. once we got back to the hotel i managed to track down shauna (a friend clear back from jr high) and she came over to chat for a little while. Soon after it was bed time.
the next morning (monday) we got up and headed back out onto the road again. this time we drove down to las vegas to my moms house to hang out for a few hours. vegas is such a beautiful city! i love it! all we really did while we were there was go to "in n' out burger" and hang out at my moms for a few hours.
FINALLY we were in california! we arrived at my aunt t's house around 8:30 and we got to relax! yay! i was so glad to be done with all the major traveling! now for the plans while we are down here.... im not really sure what they are. lol! but we plan to have fun! hahaha! i am taking lots of pictures so i will try to get them posted as soon as possible :)

crazy, hectic day... and its only 8 am.....

today is devoted to packing and trying to get my house in order before i leave. and since i am fantastic at procrastinating, i am doing it ALL today. woohoo.
tomorrow morning i am leaving for california. or at least the first part of my long drive any ways... noah and i are only driving to st. george tomorrow and staying the night, then we will make the rest of the trip on monday morning.
so today is going to be a very long day. i can already tell. but its going to be fun and worth it cuz i get to go to california for a week and then spend a night in vegas on my way home :) yay!
i will post pictures of our trip as we go too so you can all see :)

my new art work

so i finally went and got my first tattoo yesterday... and i LOVE IT!!! nothing too big or too fancy to start off with. just decided to start out small. i got my astrology sign for scorpio, which is an "M" with a little arrow at the end of it. very cute :) its only about 1 inch wide and 1/2 inch tall on the inside of my right wrist. i think its great! now i am working on my next one, but im not sure what i want to get. i think that i have turned into a little bit of an addict. lol! i will post a picture of it soon :)

yeppers! you heard it here first :) so i finally got my butt in gear and took my computer to the fix-it people and they did their magic. my computer is woking again! yay!! its a very exciting time for me :) i just wanted to let you all know that.

so the title of this entry is so named because of my adorable son. i now realize that he listens to more of what i say than i give him credit for :) every time that he now sees one of my dogs doing something rotten he looks at them and yells "damn dogs!! knock it off!!!!" lol! i think it is the funniest thing ever. i just had to share that little tid bit :)

the latest happenings

i know, it has been a really long time since my last post. my computer crashed, and i have no idea what in the world could have happened to it, so i have disconnected my internet for the time being. hopefully in the next month or two, i will be able to be connected to the world wide web again. lol! i kinda feel out of touch with the world right now.
lately things have been going pretty slowly for me. mostly i have been hanging out at home with noah and holding down the fort and taking care of things. i havent been able to go back to school for a little while because with chris's new work schedule, its bee really crazy. he works 4 days on, then has 2 days off. and its never the same 2 days, so when he has the time off, we are always running around doing whatever it is that needs to get done. lol. its kinda crazy sometimes.
noah is doing really well, he is just a wild 2 year old. although he keeps me busy all day long.
right now i down in grantsville just visiting family and hanging out with friends. so far it has been a lot of fun. i have also gotten to spend some time with my nephew jaxon which i completely adore! everytime he looks at someone he gets the biggest cutest grin. he just loves looking at faces and interacting with people. thats another reason that i am down here right now; my sister jackie and her fiance just bought a house so i am watching jaxon when they are moving stuff so that he is out of the way.
other than that really there isnt much going on in my life right now. i will try and post again soon.

The Quest fo the Christmas Lights

who would have thought that getting christmas lights would turn into such a quest. yesterday, the fam piled into the truck and headed over the vernal to do our shopping to get us to next paycheck and stock up on some christmas stuff for the holidays. along with the decorations that we got, we picked up a huge box of lights to string on the tree. and as a family home evening, when we got home we began decorating the tree. now normally you would think that when you get the lights out of the box, you would plug them in to make sure that they work. instead, we just began stringing them around the tree. once that was all said and done, THEN we decided to turn then on and see how great the tree looked. and.......... stupid lights. the box came with 2 long strands of lights and half of one strand didnt work and then the other stand didnt work at all!!!! that sucked big time, so i had to pull all the lights off the tree and try and shove them into the box again. (i have NO idea how in the heck those stupid lights get into the box so nicely when you first buy them, but it is near impossible to get them all back into the same box that they came in!) so today, i drove all the way back to vernal so that i could return them for ones that worked ( i tracked down some poor guy in the gun department and had him help me find an outlet to plug them in to before i bought them... LOL!!) and now i am off to go and string these new lights. hooray for me! :)

some days, i hate being female!

this morning i awoke to my wonderful womanly monthly gift..... ARGH!!! and all day i have been seriously craving caffiene, salt, and chocolate. there is seriously not enough of those 3 things in the world right now that would make me feel like i have satisfied the beast. so far since a few hours ago i have now drank 2 cokes, ate about 10 peices of candy, and polished off a whole tube of pringles!!!!! isnt that sickening? and i dont feel lik i have even touched the craving. lol!
this is really driving me nuts

our new truck!

chris and i just went out to salt lake on thursday this past week and bought a new truck! isnt she lovely?! omg! this is the best truck on the planet! its a 2008 dodge ram 2500, laramie edition. basically, the laramie has ALL the bells and whistles on it: dual climate control, heated seats, power everything, bluetooth connection... wow! the list goes on and on! and it has SOOO much power. its kinda intoxicating to drive. i tend to get a little drunk with power when i get behind the wheel. its FANTASTIC! i just wanted to show it off you to guys!!!

i am very disapointed..

so i am very disapointed in our country. this morning i got up to hear that Obama is our president elect. i dont understand what eveyone finds someone so apealing! this man is going to send our country down the tubes so fast, that we wont even have time to blink. and EVERYONE is totally in love with him and completely blind to the fact that this is what this man is going to do. i am truely scared for the next 4 years. i just have the worst gut feeling that he is really going to mess everything up for us. but i guess everyone is ok with that. it really sickens me. but i guess we all better get used to communism, cuz thats whats headed our way.... thats all i have to say right now.........................................................

Halloween!

as you all can see, halloween was very good to noah this year! my little superman had a GREAT time! every year, we go to the "trunk or treat" that the church puts on, which is a lot of fun! we all eat dinner, and then have a costume parade, then we all head out to the parking lot to get candy. and it only took noah about 2 cars to figure out that when you go out to a car and hold your bucket out, that you get candy! after that, he was practically shoving through all the kids to get candy! it was so funny! but we all had tons of fun!

Dreading November 4th

the title explains it all! novemeber 4th=election day=D day. so actually, i am really dreading the 5th, because thats when we will all know who our next president of the united states will be. and the way things are looking, obama may just be our next president. and if he is, we are all f**ked... just to put it mildly. know, i am not a racist person by ANY means. i could care less if our next president is black. but i dont know what it is about this guy that everyone thinks that he is so wonderful. i was listening to rush limbaw the other afternoon on my way to work. and this man, as rude and blunt as he can be, he makes some very good points. he said that there has been a study that was done recently about the effect that obama seems to have on people. this study stated that he has a "hypnotizing effect" on people. especially young people for some crazy reason. which i truly believe. unfortunately, this people are being led astray and they dont even realize it.
this man, i truely believe is a nazi. where he stands on some issues are utterly outrageous! he thinks that all babies that are found to have downs syndrome while still in their mothers uterus should be immediately aborted! along with children that have deformaties and other serious health problems. WHY?!? every child should have the right to live, wether they can function properly in life or not. obama thinks that we should have a "prefect" race of people on this earth, people without defects. that sure sounds like hitler to me.
this man is also will allow partial birth abortions, which is the sickest thing that i have ever heard of in my life. for those of you who are unaware of what a partial birth abortion is; it is an abortion that can take place at any stage of the pregnancy, all the way up to full term/or into the 9th month of pregnancy. no who can tell me that is not a human being?! anyways, the abortion is done by doing an ultrasound to find the baby's foot, which is then pulled down and the baby is born breech/feet first. they completely deliver the baby except for the head. and while the head is still in its mothers birth canal, the doctor will take a pair of surgical scissors and insirt them into the base of the babies skull and open it. if this alone doesnt kill the baby, they stick a suction tube into the babies brain and suck it all out. after that is all done, then the rest of the baby is delivered and all is said and done. how can anyone allow that sort of thing?? especially, as i was saying, an infant that could only be a few weeks or days away from being a full term baby?
Obama also want to raise taxes on people who make more than 150 thousand dollars a year and basically just give that money to other people who dont make as much. what the hell is that about?!! why should people who work very hard for their money have to pay more taxes for it to just go to other people who arent willing to work hard enough for it? that is going to make this country extremely lazy and think that everything should just be handed to them?
this is just the biggest outrage! and i cant believe that everyone is just falling for him like he is the greatest thing since sliced bread!
and it is really sad that no one sees these things and the way it is looking is that Obama is going to be the next president! someone said to me earlier today this Obama is going to be the next president and that i'd better just get used to it! i was so appalled that this was said to me! i dont have to get used to anything and i dont have to like the fact that this might really happen. it honestly makes me sick to my stomach to think that he will be our countries next president. and i just wish that other people can see that too.
i guess all we can do is just hope and pray for the best. even then though, i somehow dont feel like those prayers are going to be answered....
